About Us

The Mid-Atlantic Addiction Technology Transfer Center (Mid-Atlantic ATTC), located at Virginia Commonwealth University, serves to improve the quality of addiction treatment and recovery services within its region by facilitating alliances among policymakers, treatment agencies, clinicians, consumers and other stakeholders and connecting them to the latest research and information through technology transfer activities. Through a variety of materials, programs and courses, Mid-Atlantic enhances the knowledge and skills of all professionals working the front lines of addiction and mental health treatment. As a Center of Excellence in Motivational Interviewing, Faith-Based and Adolescent resources, we remain the eyes and ears of the treatment and recovery counseling field.

The Heroes conferences bring together clinicians, educators, employers, state and federal government representatives, members of the faith-based community, criminal justice professionals, policy makers, the media and...you!
Together we will create a road map that mobilizes resources in our communities and at all levels of government to ensure a bright future for those who defend our freedom.
