Fostering the development of recovery-oriented services and systems is a priority for SAMHSA's Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT). CSAT is leading this shift from an acute care model to a chronic model of care.
Through programs such as National Recovery Month, the Recovery Community Support Program (RCSP), Access to Recovery (ATR), and the Recovery Summit, CSAT has moved recovery to the top of its priorities and efforts to enhance the availability and quality of addiction treatment in the United States. The ATTC Network is dedicated to working to move this effort forward by building awareness and skills of recovery-based care among the addictions treatment and recovery workforce.
